Scoring of points

To score 3 points from a drop kick or a penalty, you must continue the game until producing one of the cards marked “drop” or “penalty”.

To score a converted (7 points) or unconverted (5 points) try is not so easy as it is the only moment in the game (except special cards - see later on) when the defender can interrupt an offensive sequence in order to stop the try.

Indeed, the player who lays down a card where the following offensive action indicates a converted or unconverted try is obliged to stop even if he has the means to conclude the action with a try card. It is now the turn of the defender to counterattack his opponent.

In order to do so, the defender must possess the cards which match the defensive actions (red) on the last card put down by his opponent. If he does not, the attacking player will take back his turn and lay down the try card. He will then score 5 points or 7 points depending on a converted or unconverted try.

Each time points are scored, the game begins again with the kick off card, the offensive being given to the player who was defending.

It is a good idea to keep score on a sheet of paper!
