Example of a sequence of play

Player n°1 picks a card from the deck for the kick off (this giving him nine cards in the hand) and then lays down the following cards in succession; “recovery/counterattack”, “scissors pass”, then “fend/outflank”. Even if he has a try card to follow, he must stop, obeying the rule of allowing player n°2 the chance to block the try. He picks two cards from the deck to give him eight cards in the hand.

Player n°2 takes his turn, picks a card from the deck (one card must be picked at the beginning of each turn), then lays down the cards “tackle” and “lineout” (corresponding to a defensive action marked on his opponent’s last card), then lays down a “scrum” before announcing that he is stopping the play and picks up two cards to make up eight in the hand (as he had no more matching offensive action cards to continue with, for instance).

Player n°1 picks a card, then lays down a “clearance kick” followed by “lineout”, “up-and-under” and “break” before being obliged to stop (rule of allowing the opponent to defend) and picking three cards to make up the eight in the hand.

Player n°2 picks a card, but does not possess either two cards “tackle” or one “tackle” and one “clearance kick” or one “tackle” and one “recover/counterattack” necessary to stop the try. He rejects a card.

Player n°1 picks a card and lays down the card “converted try”.

Player n°2 picks a card but does not possess the card “refused try”, so the try is allowed giving 7 points to the player n°1.

Player n°2 announces the kick off, then lays down a “recovery/counterattack” followed by a “cut-out pass” before picking a card to make up the eight hand,

and so on…
